Currently her young students take lessons in a variety of ways.
Some are serious about classical music and are working toward their piano exams.
Others are making their own music.
Many enjoy playing popular tunes in a casual way.
After Graduation,past students have gone on to pursue a variety of majors at the university.
And they have gone on to careers in science, technology, medicine, business, computers, and arts etc…
Some have become music teachers.
Whatever their profession, they have found that music is a lifelong pleasure.
Adult students also come for different purposes.
Most simply want to enrich their lives with music.
Some have longed to play the piano since childhood.
Others want to be useful for their children and grandchildren.
Waka is from Japan.
Studied at Osaka City University and Osaka College of Music, obtained her bachelor’s degree.
Also holds ARCT in Piano Performance and Piano Teaching from The Royal Conservatory of Music in Canada.
A member of BC Registered Music Teachers’ Association.
