Irina is a pianist, composer, accompanist and music arranger. As well as teaching piano Irina is an accompanist and has experience playing for ballet, instrumental soloists and vocalists. Irina’s music education began at age seven with established Russian professors, coming from the world-famous Russian classical music traditions.
Irina holds a Bachelor in Music from the Rimsky-Korsakov College and a Master’s degree from the Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory.
As an experienced pianist and adjudicator, Irina teaches a variety of musical works in different musical styles, but she is more patient and passionate about teaching classical music while her intentions are to always bring out the best qualities of the Russian Classical method. Irina brings out the best music potential in each student, whether it is beginners or advanced students. Irina’s lessons emphasize a high level of technicality and artistry playing the piano and pays special attention to developing technicality in each student by assigning scales, studies, and exercises; that comes from the Russian Piano School which involves a very dedicated and strict training. She makes sure that every student develops good basic playing habits such as flexibility of hands, proper sitting position, musicality, and a beautiful tone when playing the piano. Irina prepares students for the Royal Conservatory of Music examinations, festivals, and competitions.
Possessing a great skill in working with young and already accomplished performers, Irina is also a beloved and highly sought-after piano teacher and trainer. Her students not only rank highly in local and international festivals and competitions, but also learn to work hard and follow their career dreams.
