Grace Tan is a classically trained pianist and music educator from Vancouver, B.C. Grace holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano as well as a Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia. Having learnt the piano from the age of 7, and having developed a strong passion for music of varying genres, Grace completed the Royal Conservatory of Music Certificate Program (RCM) by the age of 12. Since then, she has participated in numerous music festivals and conferences including the Con Brio Music Festival and the British Columbia Music Educator’s Association (BCMEA) Annual Conference. Along with that, she has taught piano and theory to students of all varying ages and levels at her home studio and several Music Schools across the Lower Mainland.

Grace believes that music, like many other forms of art, is very personal and unique to every individual. It can shape a person in countless different ways. Therefore, as a lifelong music teacher, Grace’s goal is to create a fun, safe, and nurturing environment for her students to think outside the box, freely express themselves, and create their own unique kind of art that sparks endless joy.
