Student Achievement: Bronwyn Purdy Achieves Gold Standing at the 2021 KPU International Music Festival Under 18 Division We are proud to announce that our harp student Bronwyn achieves GOLD STANDING at the 2021 KPU International Music Festival. Her festival performance of the submission piece “New Blues” by Deborah Henson-Conant received a glowing feedback from Nancy Allen, the adjudicator harp professor from The Julliard School, NY. Under the instruction of Miya Otake, Bronwyn excelled in her performance that can be viewed here:
Student Achievement: Emma Wong achieves First Place at 34th Annual MYC Composition Festival During the last week in March 2021, the 34th Annual MYC Composition Festival happened where roughly 5,500 students participated worldwide. Of the thousands of entries, our own EMMA WONG won FIRST PLACE domestically and SECOND PLACE internationally, with her composition entry "Miracles Are Everywhere". Student Achievement: Sylvi Ip achieves First Place at 34th Annual MYC Composition Festival During the last week in March 2021, the 34th Annual MYC Composition Festival happened where roughly 5,500 students participated worldwide. Of the thousands of entries, our own SYLVI IP won FIRST PLACE in her level both domestically and internationally, with her composition entry "The Little Bunny". Student Achievement: Adam Han Wins Gold at the 2021 CIMC Baroque Music Competition Adam Han (13 years-old) is the FIRST PLACE winner of the 2021 CIMC Baroque Music Competition. Under the instruction of Dr. Carl Petersson, Adam excelled in his performance of piece including the Prelude & Fugue in F Minor from WTC Book 2 by Johann Sebastian Bach. We're so happy for Adam, and proud of his hard work to accomplish such a stellar result.

Each piece has its own difficulties. Even the simplest piece has challenges which need to be solved for a convincing rendition. What is difficult?
