Kate has been teaching piano for more than 16 years after gaining ARCT diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music. With her loving passion in music and piano, she believes in the musical instinct in everyone’s mind and takes it her responsibility to bring it out. She takes a flexible teaching style, carefully putting the work load depending on each student’s level of commitment, matching the student’s needs.
She regularly sends her students to RCM exams, local music festivals and competitions such as Kiwanis music festival, Richmond music festival, BCCM music festival and so on, and they enjoyed many good standings and awards as well as earning school credits.
Kate also enjoys teaching adult students that she feels comfortable communicating and working with them. Apart from piano, she also teaches music rudiments and history that she is passionate about.
