Originally from Taiwan, Nina started learning the piano at the age of 4, and began playing the cello at the age of 7. Trained as a classical pianist and cellist, she participated in many music festivals and competitions and was twice selected as a national finalist in the Canadian Music Competition. Among various performances, getting invited to play at a luncheon by the Minerva Foundation for BC
Women was the most memorable one. As a performer, she has given recitals in Taiwan, Vancouver, Toronto, and New York.
Nina earned a B.M. in Piano Performance from University of Toronto, a M.M. in Piano Performance from Manhattan School of Music, and a M.Ed. in Music and Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. Currently, she is the music teacher and the choir director at a public school in the West Vancouver district.
