Pianist/Dancer, Linda Hayes has been teaching and performing for 25 years. She is a graduate from the University of Toronto with an Associate Diploma in Piano and Music theory. Her teachers in classical are Ellen Silverman and Robert Rogers and in Jazz studies, Robert Doyle for 10 years. Linda’s students participate in many music festivals, master classes and recitals. She is also a devoted student to African and Afro-Cuban drumming. As a dancer, Linda studied with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet in the professional
program where she trained in all genres of dance with Flamenco being her forte. She visits Spain yearly to study and perform.
Linda believes that studying the arts is a life long journey and that teaching children and young adults music is giving them "a gift for life". She is available in Richmond and Surrey, teaching Classical, Jazz and Latin to students from beginner to advanced.
