Eve’s teaching approach stimulates creativity, inspires self-discipline, and encourages each student to express themselves through music. Eve Tang received her Masters of Music from Yale University and Bachelors of Music from McGill University. She was also awarded the First Class Honours with Distinction in completing her ARCT diploma in piano performance.
Her orchestral endeavors have taken her all over the world, including Switzerland, Germany, Austria, England, Canada, USA, Japan, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Malaysia, China and Colombia.
While having spent a year teaching actively in D.C., she also dedicated and valued her time as a volunteer. Her devotion to education has led her to teaching engagements in schools, libraries, hospitals, and cultural centers in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Miami, New Haven, and Washington, D.C. Most recently, Ms. Tang has broadened her global outreach by traveling to South America and serving in local communities as teaching artist and performer at the Academia Filarmónica de Medellín in Medellín, Colombia.
Eve has held orchestra positions in the New World Symphony, National Symphony of Taiwan, and the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra as associate principal. Eve has also had the privilege to participate in numerous European music festivals, including Britten-Pears Festival in Aldeburgh, Schleswig-Holstein, Lucerne and Verbier, Switzerland. She was on the viola faculty at the American Institute Musical Studies in Austria and Filarmónica Joven de Colombia.
