Praised for her magnetic, captivating, and inspiring interpretation, Chinese-Canadian conductor, pianist Kelly Lin enjoys an actice performing career across Canada and internationally.

As the recipient of the Hnatyshyn Foundation – Christa and Franz-Paul Decker Fellowship in Conducting, Kelly Lin obtained her master’s degree in orchestral conducting from McGill University where her mentors include Alexis Hauser and Guillaume Bourgogne. She also holds a bachelor and master’s degree in piano performance from McGill University where her mentors include Sara Laimon and Marina Mdivani. She is the recipient of numerous scholarships, including full scholarship from McGill University. She has also refined her musical skills with mentors such as Rafael Payare, Marin Alsop, James Ross, Alexander Shelley, Giuseppe Montesano, Otto Tausk, Jonathan Girard, Brian Current, and Kirk Trevor.

Kelly has worked with professional orchestras and ensembles across Canada and internationally, performed in major music festivals across Canada such as Toronto Summer Music, Ottawa Chamberfest, 21 Stops Music Festival, Biglake Festival, etc. Recent engagements include participating in the National Arts Centre Orchestra Mentorship Program, Vancouver Symphony Institute, serving as assistant and cover conductor to Holly Mathieson for Symphony Nova Scotia, and to Guillaume Bourgogne for Québec Contemporary Music Society and Ensemble Cairn in France, as well as serving as guest conductor for Ensemble Obiora, Hatch x Continuum Ensemble, McGill Symphony Orchestra, and McGill Contemporary Music Ensemble.
